Sound Mind is a faith-based mental wellness app that helps believers take negative and overwhelming thoughts captive — rooted in Scripture and a simple, repeatable practice.

Renew your mind, one thought at a time.

Modern mental wellness apps teach you to empty your mind. Sound Mind teaches you to fill it — with the truth of God's Word. Every overwhelming thought, every lie, every fear can be examined, surrendered, and replaced with Scripture that anchors you in who you truly are in Christ.

We believe lasting peace doesn't come from techniques alone. It comes from the daily, deliberate practice of fixing your attention on the Lord.

The 6-Step Capture Process

Each Capture session walks you through a guided neuroplasticity practice rooted in biblical principles:

  1. Breathe — A guided breathing pause, with a long exhale to settle you.
  2. Notice — Become aware of the thought or feeling that's surfaced.
  3. Examine — Uncover the lie or fear underneath the thought.
  4. Surrender — Break agreement with the lie through prayer.
  5. Replace — Receive God's truth through a matched Scripture and declaration.
  6. Declare — Speak the truth out loud, twice.

Each session takes about 5 minutes. Most thoughts take 21–63 days of consistent capturing before they lose their grip — and Sound Mind tracks that journey for you on the Thoughts tab.

Why Speaking Aloud Matters

Sound Mind asks you to speak declarations and Scripture aloud rather than just read them. This is intentional. Research on neuroplasticity shows that self-vocalization engages multiple regions of the brain at once, accelerating belief change. Scripture echoes the same principle — faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17).
